Sentara Albemarle Medical Center in Elizabeth City, NC is hiring an Emergency Department Tech (ED Tech) for the night shift. You will assist physicians and nurses, start IVs, perform EKGs, POCT, blood cultures and monitor vital signs in a fast-paced ED.

This role supports care delivery and patient prioritization while stocking and supplying ED resources. Requirements include EMT-B certification or equivalent at hire, or completion of Military Hospital Corps School/MMAC; current clinical student

Qualifications

• EMT-B certification or equivalent at hire.
• Military Hospital Corps School completion or MMAC qualification.
• Current student enrolled in a clinical program with at least one semester completed.

Responsibilities

• Starting IVs.
• Performing EKGs.
• Conducting Point of Care testing.
• Obtaining blood cultures.
• Measuring vital signs.
• Arrival prioritization in the ED.
• Stocking and distributing ED supplies.
