Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ED RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring active compact RN licensure and specialty certifications.

The role involves working in an ED with 18 bed wall and 10 hallway beds, maintaining a 5:1 patient ratio, and rotating with a flexible schedule. Housing, licensure reimbursements, and travel stipends are offered to travelers outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.

Qualifications

• Active Compact or NH RN license required at time of consideration.
• Minimum 2 years of recent hospital-based ED experience required.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, and CPI.
• Strong Emergency Room skillset required.
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Department unit with 18 head wall beds and 10 hallway beds.
• Patient ratio of 5:1
• Variable staffing model with unit secretaries and techs
• Uses GE equipment and Expanse documentation system
• Scheduled for 36 hours per week on night shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Required to float as needed
• Join a team of tenured staff willing to mentor and develop other nurses
• Flexible scheduling options available
• Scrubs required as part of dress code
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
