Job summary

Texas Health Denton is seeking a Paramedic (EMT-P) for the Emergency Department. The role supports a fast-paced, high-volume ED with night shifts (7p–7a), 36 hours weekly across 3 shifts, including weekends and holidays.

You will work with physicians and RNs, perform advanced clinical tasks under physician supervision, and contribute to patient care plans and documentation in the EHR. The hospital emphasizes growth and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• 3 months paramedic experience or completion of a paramedic internship.
• EMT-P certification required.
• ACLS, PALS within stated timelines.
• BCLS prior to independent patient care and maintained regularly.

Responsibilities

• Administers IV fluids and medications under physician delegation with BMV.
• Completes accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
• Maintains airway, mobility, and basic patient care needs.
• Applies antiembolic devices and cervical collars as needed.
• Provides external defibrillation and oxygen therapy as required.
• Performs ultrasound-guided peripheral IV access and port blood draws.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the care team.
