Job summary

Texas Health Denton, part of Texas Health Resources, is seeking a Paramedic (EMT-P) for our fast-paced Emergency Department. This full-time night-shift role (7p–7a) supports high patient volumes and a collaborative care team.

The position emphasizes advanced clinical skills under physician supervision, with opportunities for growth. Requires EMT-P, ACLS/BLS/PALS, and ED experience. Benefits include 401k, PTO, health/dental, tuition reimbursement, and more.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• 3 months paramedic experience or completion of a paramedic internship; 1 year Paramedic experience in EMS or Fire Dept preferred.
• EMT-P - Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic required or LP - Licensed Paramedic.
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire required.
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of hire required.
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (ED Only) within 60 days of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Provides Safe Patient Care Under Physician Delegation.
• Administers IV fluids and medications with proper verification.
• Completes accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
• Maintains airway, monitoring, and hygiene needs; supports mobility and comfort.
• Applies antiembolic stockings, cervical collars, and other standard ED procedures.
• Performs external defibrillation, oxygen delivery, and airway management.
• Draws blood from ports and handles other routine phlebotomy tasks.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the care team.
