Job summary

Endeavor Health in Arlington Heights, IL seeks an Emergency Services Care Assistant/Unit Secretary for the Emergency Department. This full-time role covers 3pm–3am, 36 hours per week, with every other weekend, reporting to the ED Manager.

Under RN supervision you provide direct patient care and assist the ED team; perform non-licensed medical tasks and support staff. You may supervise aides and handle clerical, stocking, and cleaning duties as required.

Qualifications

• High school level knowledge
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
• Certifications include CNA, Paramedic, nursing student with six months clinical, EMT with at least one year field experience, or ED Technician experience

Responsibilities

• Reports to the ED Manager and supports ED and Treatment Center staff in patient care.
• Under RN supervision, provides direct patient care and performs non-licensed medical procedures.
• May assist in directing environmental aides and handling clerical, stocking, and cleaning duties as required
