Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional for the Abilene, TX area. The role covers overnight shifts (midnight to 8am) and weekdays, with responsibilities spanning medication administration, meal prep, personal care, and daily documentation of resident conditions.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid Texas Driver’s License, and the ability to communicate in English. CPR/First Aid certifications are preferred, and prior direct-care experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 25 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Experience in direct care with individuals with developmental disabilities a plus.
• Ability to enter information into a computer and perform simple calculations.
• Good communication with staff, residents, vendors, and families.

Responsibilities

• Verify, administer and record medications and medical treatments.
• Prepare and serve meals for up to 7 people per menu from dietician.
• Supervise activities and document individuals’ behavior throughout the day.
• Ensure hygiene and appropriate clothing for individuals.
• Provide behavior intervention to protect individuals from harm.
• Respond quickly and calmly in emergencies.
• Attend work daily and cover shifts as needed.
