Job summary

Bristol Adult Resource Center, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our Residential Group Home Program.

You will work on individual goals, promote independence, and provide support in daily activities and community participation. Training will be provided for the right candidates, with a strong focus on safety and respectful care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least age 18.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide opportunities for learning new skills and independence by working on individuals’ goals and plans.
• Transport individual to and from programs and activities.
• Administer medications and treatments meeting all guidelines and accurate documentation.
• Provide a safe, nurturing environment where individuals are treated with dignity, respect, and protected from abuse.
• Electronically record daily activities with confidentiality and adherence to policies to protect identity and medical information.
• Obtain and maintain all required certifications and trainings (in person and online).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
