Job summary

Devereux Massachusetts is seeking caring Direct Support Professionals to work in a 4-bed IDD/ASD adult male group home in Sterling, MA. The role involves coaching, skill-building, companionship, and supporting individuals to achieve independence in daily activities.

Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene, meals, medications, paperwork, and transportation, with a schedule of Sunday-Wednesday from 11pm–9am. MAPS certification is required or obtainable within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license required.
• High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with individuals with IDD and/or autism spectrum disorders preferred.
• MAPS certification required within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Coaching and assisting in hygiene routines, chore completion, meal preparation, and administration of medications.
• Completion of required paperwork and planning/facilitating recreational activities.
• Assisting with transportation and supporting individuals in working toward their goals.

Education
