Job summary

Rush Enterprises Inc. seeks a Diesel Technician for Rush Truck Centers across the United States. This role targets experienced Class 7 & 8 technicians focused on quality repairs and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and overhauling truck engines and components, installing parts, reading job orders, and ensuring safety standards. Ongoing factory training supports career growth in a trusted nationwide network.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Maintains a valid driver's license and insurability as required by the company.
• Preferred ASE certifications and manufacturer training.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Install injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, bearings, oil pans, clutches, brakes, batteries and transmissions.
• Read job orders, diagnose operation, and plan work procedures.
• Ensure safety checks and adjust as needed.
• Test drive and verify conformance to specifications.
• Attend training and stay current with factory bulletins.
• Build positive customer relationships to enhance satisfaction.
