Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking an (title) technician in Knoxville, TN to diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, document work orders, and participate in road calls as needed.

The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of experience in heavy-duty vehicle repair, including PMs and electrical troubleshooting, plus at least 2 years in A/C refrigeration. Day 1 benefits are included for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience including PMs, tires & wheels, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis and electronic component repair.
• 2+ years of experience in A/C refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Complete and perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment and conduct inspections.
• Inspect brakes, steering, bearings and related components for proper operation.
• Ensure vehicles have required licensing/registration before road use.
• Document repairs and maintenance in the Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Use hand and power tools for repairs and maintenance.
• Train other employees.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
