Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a 3rd shift maintenance technician to perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy‑duty trucks, trailers, and reefer units. The role includes road call work and ensuring compliance with trucking regulations at our Fort Worth location.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, inspecting brakes and other critical components, and maintaining thorough work order documentation. This position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits starting Day 1.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience.
• Experience with PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and A/C refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units) and identify root causes of basic failures.
• Ensure equipment has required licensing and registration prior to roadworthiness.
• Document repairs and PMs in the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Inspect brake systems, steering, wheel bearings and other critical parts for proper operation.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, lubrication, and use of hand and power tools.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
