Job summary

Suncore Construction & Materials in Vermont seeks a skilled Diesel Mechanic for night shift to maintain and repair our construction equipment fleet, from routine engine maintenance to hydraulic system troubleshooting. You will diagnose diesel, hydraulic, and electrical issues, read manuals and schematics, perform inspections for worn parts, and keep our trucks and machinery running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Proven Diesel Mechanic experience, preferably in construction.
• Diesel mechanic certification or equivalent experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and trucks.
• Conduct inspections to identify worn or damaged parts.
• Troubleshoot engine fault codes using diagnostic tools.
