Job summary

Casella Construction, Inc. is seeking a Night Shift Diesel Mechanic for the 4:00 PM–1:30 AM shift at our Pittsford, VT shop. The role offers a 10% shift differential and involves maintenance and repairs on a diesel/LNG fleet, including trucks and trailers.

You will lead the nightly handover with the Shop Foreman and assist teammates on the shift. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, diagnosing, completing repairs, preventive maintenance, and related paperwork.

Qualifications

• Diesel engine repair work, 4+ years preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair gained through training or on-the-job experience.
• CDL desirable.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair fleet vehicles and perform preventive maintenance.
• Review and complete repairs identified on inspections.
• Complete paperwork using fleet maintenance software.
• Participate in training as required and support the shift team.
