Job summary

W.W. Grainger, Inc. is hiring a DC Technician II for the Patterson, CA distribution center.

The role focuses on preventive maintenance of conveyors, shuttles, and related automation, reporting to a Facilities Supervisor. Work is on the night shift, with responsibilities spanning repairs, CMMS entries, and coordination with teams. The ideal candidate has 1+ year maintenance experience, CMMS and MS Office familiarity, and strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.

Qualifications

• 1+ years building and equipment maintenance experience.
• Experience with CMMS programs and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge and application of lockout/tagout safety practices.
• Able to lift 50–75 lbs repeatedly and work in a distribution environment.
• Familiar with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and pneumatic concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on conveyors, sorters, shuttles, and related material handling assets.
• Respond to building issues, jams, shutdowns, and other facility problems.
• Complete repairs on cranes, presses, welders and other equipment as assigned.
• Log daily maintenance activities in CMMS system.
• Coordinate with contractors and Facilities staff as needed.
• Operate all automated material handling and mobile equipment within the DC.
