Job summary

Carter’s Inc. is seeking an on-site Maintenance Supervisor at the Braselton distribution center to lead a team and ensure safe, reliable facility operations.

You’ll oversee maintenance of conveyors and automated systems, manage shift staffing, and drive continuous improvement to reduce downtime. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in automated distribution maintenance and 2+ years of supervisory experience, with knowledge of WCS, PLCs, and CMMS.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience in automated distribution or manufacturing.
• 2+ years of supervisory or people-leadership experience.
• Experience with conveyor, sortation, and automated material handling systems.
• Experience with WCS, PLCs, controls, CMMS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a working supervisor for evening/night shifts, leading 4–5 Maintenance Technicians, 4 Utility Technicians, and 4 Custodians.
• Maintain on-site leadership coverage across evening/night shifts.
• Lead performance related to equipment maintenance, reliability, and preventive maintenance.
• Develop and mentor Maintenance Technician levels 1–3 and apprenticeship program.
• Manage timekeeping, scheduling, and administrative tasks for direct reports.
• Lead maintenance, facility, and process-improvement projects as assigned.
