Job summary

Cologix is seeking a Datacenter Technician to manage daily operations of our telecom infrastructure. You will install, test, and maintain copper and fiber media, cross-connects, and related cabling to support network services and customer requirements.

You will troubleshoot equipment and perform remote hands requests, while coordinating with vendors for maintenance of critical infrastructure. This role requires 24x7 on-call availability and strict adherence to safety and security procedures.

Qualifications

• Credential in BI CSI preferred.
• 2-3 years’ experience in similar critical facilities.
• Strong technical and mechanical background with telecom facility experience.
• Knowledge of Visio and MS Office.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced 24/7 environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain datacenter equipment, cabinets, cross-connects.
• Install, test, and troubleshoot telecom infrastructure components.
• Lead troubleshooting and repairs during events or equipment failures.
• Monitor security, environmental, and power systems; maintain reports.
• Provide after-hours support as needed.
