Job summary

CyrusOne is seeking a Critical Environments Operator (Night Shift) to join our 24/7 Operations & Maintenance team. You will monitor and maintain data center systems, respond to alarms, and perform preventive maintenance with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• A strong safety mindset and willingness to work overnight shifts.
• Ability to read and follow SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, and MMRs.
• Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and extended hours during emergencies.
• Team-first mindset and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor data center mechanical, electrical, and HVAC/R systems to ensure uptime.
• Respond to building alarms with priority on safety and reliability.
• Execute preventive maintenance per SOPs and related procedures.
• Use CMMS to track work orders, labor, and PMs.
• Coordinate with vendors and enforce safety protocols.
• Perform operational modifications and critical switching as needed.
• Stay compliant with all company policies and EHS requirements.
• Senior levels: mentor junior operators and assist in capacity planning.
