Job summary

CyrusOne is seeking a Critical Environments Operator for night shifts to monitor and maintain data center systems, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability. You will work in a fast-paced, safety-driven environment across electrical, mechanical, and HVAC/R disciplines.

This role supports 8- or 10-hour shifts on a rotating schedule, with night differential compensation. Candidates at various experience levels can apply and advance within a defined growth path.

Qualifications

• Safety-focused mindset with adherence to policies and procedures.
• Willingness to work overnight shifts on rotating schedules.
• Clear verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency with CMMS and common office software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced data center environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate data center mechanical, electrical, and HVAC/R systems to ensure uptime.
• Respond to building alarms, prioritize critical loads, perform root-cause analysis.
• Execute preventive maintenance and follow SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, and MMRs as needed.
• Use CMMS to track work orders, labor hours, and preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors; enforce safety protocols (Lockout/Tagout).
• Perform equipment modifications and safe work area setup as required.
• Ensure compliance with company, government, and client policies and EHS requirements.
• Senior-level: mentor junior operators, lead critical switching, assist in capacity planning.
