Job summary

Kemps has an immediate opening for a machine operator to maintain, set up and troubleshoot equipment, processing materials and ensuring GMP compliance. You will interact with multiple departments to meet daily deadlines and contribute to safe, efficient production.

Starting pay is 30.36 per hour with a Monday–Friday 12:00 AM–8:00 AM schedule. Benefits include union 401(k), health insurance, paid vacation, and growth opportunities within DFA family companies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimal.
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks.
• Must be able to push, pull, stand, walk, climb, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to be able to work in a wet environment.
• May have some exposure to dust, fumes and cleaning chemicals.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime as required, occasional weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, break down and set up equipment and machinery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating issues.
• Process finished or raw materials in accordance with GMP.
• Communicate effectively with all departments and meet daily deadlines.
