Job summary

Byrne, Inc. seeking a Processing Operator to set up, operate, clean and troubleshoot dairy processing systems for ESL/UHT products. You will ensure quality and efficiency across production lines, following SOPs and regulatory guidelines.

The role is on-site at 3156 Byrne Hollow Crossing, Cortland, NY, with 2nd shift hours (N2) 6pm-6:30am. Benefits include medical/dental/vision from day 1, tuition reimbursement, and a company-matched 401(k).

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma preferred.
• 1-2 years of manufacturing experience or dairy processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor pasteurization equipment, separators, homogenizers, and other dairy processing machinery to meet quality standards and production specs.
• Conduct routine quality control tests including temperature checks, pH, fat content, and bacterial counts.
• Perform cleaning and sanitization on lines, tanks and equipment using CIP systems and manual cleaning.
• Monitor and adjust processing parameters such as pressure, temperature and flow rates.
• Document production data, quality test results and maintenance activities in logbooks and systems.
