Job summary

Byrne is seeking a Processing Operator for the Cortland, NY area. The role runs on the 6pm–6:30am shift, on-site, with a pay rate of $27.50 per hour and potential up to $39.50 based on benefits. The position supports ESL and dairy product manufacturing in a collaborative team environment.

As a Processing Operator, you will set up, operate, clean, and troubleshoot processing systems following SOPs, ensuring product safety and quality through monitoring and documentation.

Qualifications

• GED or High School preferred.
• 1-2 years of manufacturing experience or dairy processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor pasteurization equipment, separators, homogenizers and other dairy processing machinery to meet quality standards and specs.
• Conduct routine quality control tests including temperature checks, pH measurements, fat content analysis and bacterial counts.
• Perform cleaning and sanitization on processing lines, tanks and equipment using CIP systems and manual cleaning.
• Monitor and adjust processing parameters such as pressure and flow rates to maintain production.
• Document production data and quality results in logbooks and systems for regulatory compliance.
