Job summary

Miss Hall’s School in Massachusetts is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper/Custodian for 3rd shift to perform cleaning and maintenance of campus facilities and residential properties. The role includes setting up rooms, assisting with events, and ensuring a safe, clean environment.

The position requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with duties that may involve snow removal and special projects during breaks or busy periods. Hourly wage range is provided in postings.

Qualifications

• Two years of cleaning experience preferred.
• Knowledge of custodial methods and equipment preferred.
• Ability to work independently with good time-management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to cover evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms using established practices.
• Clean, dust, wipe furniture, sweep/mop/vacuum floors; empty trash; replace bulbs; launder cleaning rags and linens.
• Use and maintain cleaning equipment and perform minor repairs.
• Lock/unlock buildings and secure premises when not in use; report unauthorized access.
• Follow chemical safety and usage instructions.
• Strip, clean, buff and apply floor finish to hard surfaces.
• Snow/ debris removal from sidewalks and exterior stairs.
• Assist with set-up of facilities for meetings and events.
• Be a reliable member of the Housekeeping team with punctual attendance.
• Adjust schedule/duties for deep cleaning or special projects as needed.
