Job summary

Muhlenberg School District is seeking an Inside Custodian to perform cleaning, maintenance, and general custodial duties on the Muhlenberg School District Campus. The role supports safe, clean facilities for students and staff.

Responsibilities include floor care, restroom stocking, equipment checks, snow removal, and emergency preparedness. Applicants should hold a high school diploma and a valid PA driver’s license, with flexibility for hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of operation of power cleaning equipment.
• Must have current valid PA Driver's license.
• Must be available to work flexible hours as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous custodial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily check of floor cleaning equipment.
• Trash pickup and disposal.
• District mail and bank runs.
• Grass cutting, shrub trimming, mulching, weeding, fertilizing, etc.
• Custodial/cleaning duties of field houses, dug outs, press boxes, locker room lavatories, and concession stands.
• Snow removal including all District roadways, walking paths, turn around, sidewalks and play area.
• Maintain tools and supplies in a neat and organized manner.
• Keeps work carts neat and orderly.
• Follows all safety rules and directives without exception.
• Safe handling, use and measurement of chemicals.
• Familiarity with building evacuation routes, activating fire pull stations, use of fire extinguishers and overall emergency procedures.
