Job summary

Manheim Township School District is seeking a full-time custodial worker to maintain a clean, safe school environment. The role includes cleaning classrooms, hallways, restrooms, restocking supplies, and coordinating with staff to ensure secure facilities.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or equivalent with a valid driver’s license and can lift heavy objects. Schedule is Mon-Fri, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM, with comprehensive benefits including dental, medical, vision, paid time off, holidays,

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent plus valid driver’s license.
Custodial or cleaning experience preferred.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and other areas of the school building.
Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
Empty trash and recycling bins.
Restock supplies such as paper towels and toilet paper.
Maintain the appearance of the school grounds, including litter pickup and snow/ice removal from walkways.
Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are stored and maintained properly.
Report maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate supervisor.
Follow safety protocols and wear required PPE.
