Job summary

Eaton Corporation’s ES GEIS BLD division is seeking a Custodian for the 3rd shift at the Troy, IL facility. The role’s core hours are 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m., with overtime potentially mandatory.

The position offers benefits starting day one and a $20.34 hourly rate. You will perform cleaning tasks across production areas, ensuring timely order fulfillment and adherence to Eaton’s quality standards. You’ll handle restroom sanitation, waste management, minor repairs, and maintain 5S standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of one year of experience with industrial cleaning preferred.
• Experience with using a buffer, auto scrubber and carpet extractor.
• Proficient with computer applications.
• Working knowledge of Lean concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and ensure supplies are available.
• Empty and clean trash and recycling bins.
• Perform minor repairs, such as changing light bulbs and replacing paper towel dispensers.
• Report major maintenance needs to appropriate personnel.
• Keep work area clean and organized per 5S standards.
• Work with a team to complete assignments and meet production timelines.
