Goodwill Central Texas is seeking an Overnight Custodian for an IRS facility in Austin, TX. The role requires independent work, strong floor care and carpet extraction experience, and the ability to perform daily cleaning tasks to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

The position is part of a federal AbilityOne Program contract; applicants must meet eligibility and may need to provide medical documentation. Willingness to pass a background check and to work overnight shifts is essential.

Qualifications

• 1-3 months of custodial experience or completion of an approved custodial training program.
• Ability to operate buffers, floor machines, and carpet extractors.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and perform routine cleaning tasks.
• Willingness to work overnight schedule with reliable attendance.
• Ability to pass a background check and AbilityOne eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain restrooms, floors, and fixtures.
• Sweep and mop floors daily; strip, wax, and buff as required.
• Operate floor machines and perform carpet shampooing/extraction.
• Vacuum carpets daily and spot-clean surfaces.
• Restock supplies and dispose waste per procedures.
• Follow safety procedures and represent Goodwill professionally at the facility.
