Louisiana State University seeks a Custodian 2 (Night Shift) to clean and maintain LSU Student Union facilities. The position works evenings 3 pm–11:30 pm and pays hourly with progression from $12.00 to $19.26 per hour. Benefits and employment details are provided by LSU.

Qualifications

• Six months of custodial, housekeeping, grounds keeping, or food service work.

Responsibilities

• Cleans lobbies, bathrooms, hallways, meeting rooms, billiards area, and administrative area by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, dusting, and polishing.
• Mixes or blends cleaning solutions to proper concentrations as necessary - 30%.
• Sets up and breaks down daily events in meeting rooms, lobbies, ballrooms, and exterior grounds - 25%.
• Cleans, strips, waxes and polishes floors using industrial size mops and floor machines.
• Fills floor machines with cleaning solutions and empties used solution.
• Cleans floor machines and recharges batteries.
• Washes, rinses and dries wet mops, dust mops, and floor pads.
• Operates carpet cleaning equipment for cleaning and shampooing carpets - 10%.
• Empties trash and recycling containers and transports waste as needed.
• Cleans, decontaminates, and deodorizes waste containers using proper products - 10%.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.
