Job summary

SBM is hiring a Custodian to ensure cleanliness and sanitation of all assigned areas. The role includes janitorial duties, operating cleaning equipment, and reporting hazards.

You will follow safety rules and work as part of a team, presenting a professional appearance at all times. Requirements include 3–6 months training or experience preferred; a valid driver’s license may be required; forklift certification may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bilingual is a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
• Knowledge of upkeep and care of cleaning equipment
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals and other documents

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Work in a team with other employees
• Fill in during staff shortage
