Job summary

Harvard University is seeking a Custodian for on-site work at Harvard Medical School. You will perform routine cleaning of offices, laboratories, libraries, restrooms, and common areas, ensuring sanitary, orderly spaces and adherence to safety standards.

The role requires at least 1 year of cleaning experience and solid English communication. Normal hours are 40 per week with evening shifts; overtime may be required. The position is based on Harvard campuses with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year cleaning industry experience required.
• Basic proficiency in the English language including reading, writing, and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and specialized cleaning of academic and non-academic spaces, including offices and common areas.
• Maintains areas in a clean, orderly, and sanitary manner.
• Sanitizes bathroom surfaces, fixtures, and food handling areas.
• Restocks restroom and kitchen consumables daily.
• Operates floor machines and vacuums, moves light furniture when needed.
• May perform residential housekeeping during events and may work overtime.
