Job summary

The Architect of the Capitol in Washington, DC is seeking a Custodial Worker Leader to supervise Custodial Workers on the night shift and ensure efficient cleaning of offices and public areas.

The role requires directing work, setting pace, using ladders and equipment, and coordinating tasks while maintaining supplies. This is an emergency essential, night-shift position with a 9:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. schedule and a 10% differential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a custodial crew.
• Ability to schedule cleaning tasks and coordinate with supervisors.
• Familiarity with cleaning procedures and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the work of Custodial Workers, WG-04.
• Receive work assignments and guidance from Custodial Worker Supervisors.
• Set the pace of work and demonstrate proper procedures.
• Schedule cleaning tasks within an assigned schedule and ensure task frequency.
• Perform cleaning tasks in assigned area and verify quality of work.
• Move and set up scaffolds, ladders, and man lifts as needed.
