Job summary

The University of Nebraska at Omaha is seeking a Custodial Leader for the Sun–Thu, 10:00pm–6:30am shift. The position leads custodial staff and supports supervision while ensuring cleanliness across campus facilities. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with at least two years of custodial experience; supervisory experience is a plus.

Pay ranges from $16.82 to $18.05 per hour, with additional shift pay. This is a full-time, on-site role within Facilities Management and Planning.

Qualifications

• Two years of custodial experience required.
• Education: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate immediate staff on teamwork and responsibilities.
• Assist and support supervisors, including performing duties in their absence.
• Inspect custodial services in the assigned area.
• Perform limited scheduling duties for staff.
• Orient new custodial staff assigned to area.
• Perform minor and routine maintenance on cleaning equipment and facilities.
• Perform floor care including stripping, scrubbing, vacuuming and carpet shampooing.
• Operate cleaning equipment to maintain cleanliness and safety at all times.
