Job summary

Melwood Horticultural Training Center Inc. is seeking a Lead Worker for the night shift (3:00 pm – 10:30 pm, Monday to Friday) in Hanover, MD.

The role involves cleaning tasks to meet custodial contract specifications under supervision of the Custodial Foreman, and supervising junior staff when needed. The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, at least one year of custodial experience, and the ability to pass security clearance and background checks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of custodial work experience required.
• Some supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps and mops hallways, stairs and offices.
• Empties tenants' waste baskets and disposes the trash in prescribed manner.
• Waxes and buffs floors with prescribed buffers.
• Cleans glass and windows.
• Notifies supervisor when supplies and equipment are needed to perform tasks.
