Job summary

University of Texas at Austin seeks an Assistant Building Attendant Leader for the night shift to supervise custodial staff, ensure cleaning quality, and manage administrative tasks. The role leads a team, coordinates schedules, and upholds safety and building security protocols on campus.

With 40-hour weekly shifts and UT benefits, the incumbent will contribute to reliable facilities services and student-friendly environments while advancing leadership capabilities and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• One year in building cleaning and custodial work.
• Experience with custodial equipment.
• Preferred: High school diploma or GED; more than one year of cleaning and custodial experience and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the work of one or more Building Attendant II's and inspect completed work.
• Ensure quality and timeliness of cleaning tasks and inspect paperwork.
• Prepare documents such as key logs, security logs, time reports, and training records.
• Meet deadlines and perform complete and error-free work; escalate concerns as needed.
• Maintain safety and compliance by following established procedures and PPE usage.
• Secure buildings and follow access control, alarm procedures and key control guidelines.
