Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Building Attendant Leader (BAL) to supervise custodial staff on the weekend night shift at UT Main Campus. Responsibilities include unlocking/locking facilities, directing cleaning tasks, ensuring safety compliance, and handling special assignments.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervising custodians and leading a team.
• Experience following written and verbal work orders and instructions.
• Strong communication and customer service skills required.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow product labels and safety instructions.

Responsibilities

• Unlocking/Locking buildings and general cleaning to established standards.
• Lead weekend night shift; assign, schedule, and coordinate Building Attendants.
• Follow UT policies and custodial procedures; maintain professional appearance and punctuality.
• Prepare logs, reports, and training records; meet deadlines and provide coaching as needed.
• Operate custodial equipment; use UT vehicles safely; maintain required licenses.
• Handle work orders and on-duty support; respond to emergencies and perform overtime when needed.
