HCA Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton, FL is seeking a CT Technologist for full-time, night shift coverage (7p–7a, Fri/Sat/Sun). The role involves performing CT examinations, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality imaging under radiologist supervision.

The ideal candidate holds a Florida-licensed CT technologist credential, with ARRT-CT preferred, BLS, and 1–3 years in diagnostic radiology. Night shift availability is required for consideration.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 24-month program in Radiologic Technology at an AMA-approved institution.
• ARRT CT certification (preferred).
• Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT) is required/active.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs).
• Minimum of 1–3 years current/recent experience in diagnostic radiology, preferably in an acute-care hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Select proper technical factors and perform diagnostic CT examinations.
• Operate CT scanner, contrast media administration, and related equipment.
• Prepare, transfer and position patients, ensuring modesty and safety.
• Document clinical information and obtain informed consent.
• Obtain high-quality CT images suitable for interpretation.
• Maintain equipment and stay updated with protocols and software.
• Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists and care team.
• On-call and call-back responsibilities as needed.
