Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in Camden, NJ is seeking a Critical Care Tech to support our Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit. Under the direction of an RN, you assist with activities of daily living, perform phlebotomy and EKGs, and help ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

The role requires 0–2 years’ experience, a High School/GED, BLS certification, and internal CCT certification. Shifts are 7 PM–7 AM, three shifts per week, with every third weekend and holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of patient-care experience.
• 高School/GED required; BLS certification.
• Internal CCT certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, hygiene, mobility).
• Perform phlebotomy, vital signs, EKGs and Foley catheter care as directed by RN.
• Identify and communicate changes in patient status to RN and respond appropriately.
• Reinforce education for patients and families regarding care needs and safety.
• Participate in patient satisfaction initiatives and safety protocols.
• Complete annual hospital and unit-specific competencies by the due date.
• Maintain safe environment and effective communication with patients and coworkers.
