Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in Camden, NJ is seeking a Critical Care Tech to support patients’ activities of daily living and assist the RN in delivering high‑quality care on Pavilion 7, a medical‑surgical unit focusing on orthopedic and neurological needs.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, vital signs, point‑of‑care testing, EKGs, Foley care, documenting changes, reinforcing patient education, and participating in satisfaction and performance initiatives.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years’ experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, hygiene, mobility, transport).
• Perform phlebotomy, vital signs, point-of-care testing, EKGs, Foley catheter care as directed by RN.
• Identify and communicate changes in patient status to RN and respond appropriately.
• Reinforce education for patients and families regarding care needs and safety.
• Participate in patient satisfaction initiatives and staff training programs.
• Complete annual hospital and unit-specific competencies by the due date.
• Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards to ensure safe patient care.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and coworkers.
