Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, hygiene, mobility, transport).
  • Perform phlebotomy, vital signs, point-of-care testing, EKGs, Foley catheter care as directed by RN.
  • Identify and communicate changes in patient status to RN and respond appropriately.
  • Reinforce education for patients and families regarding care needs and safety.
  • Participate in patient satisfaction initiatives and staff training programs.
  • Complete annual hospital and unit-specific competencies by the due date.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards to ensure safe patient care.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and coworkers.
