Job summary

Cooper University Health Care is seeking a Critical Care Technician to support the medical-surgical unit with patient care activities and collaboration with the RN and healthcare team.

The role requires PCT training, an active PCC certification, and BLS, with 0-2 years experience preferred. The unit handles high patient turnover and offers multidisciplinary rounds, with shift coverage 7AM-7PM and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Patient Care Technician training and active PCC certification required.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification required and CPCT-A certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, hygiene, mobility, transport).
• Perform phlebotomy, vital signs, point-of-care testing, EKGs, Foley catheter care as directed by RN.
• Communicate changes in patient status to RN and respond to ensure safe patient care.
• Reinforce patient and family education on care needs and safety.
