Job summary

OU Health is hiring a Clinical Support Assistant for Critical Care Stepdown on full-time night shifts. Under supervision of a registered nurse, you will perform routine patient-care tasks, monitor vitals, assist with admissions/discharges, and help ensure patient safety and comfort in a critical care setting.

The role requires a HS Diploma or GED and current Basic Life Support certification. No prior experience is required, and opportunities exist to grow within a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient health status under RN supervision and implement the plan of care.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders within scope.
• Record vital signs, blood pressures, temperatures, pulse and weights.
• Perform blood glucose monitoring and telemetry setup as directed.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Transports patients to treatment areas and assist with movement.
• Maintain clean, orderly patient rooms and restock supplies.
• Provide safety attendant care when assigned.
• Report changes in patient condition to RN.
