Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's Jersey City Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist Registered to join the Respiratory Care team for night shifts. The role involves providing comprehensive respiratory care, managing mechanical ventilation, and assisting with emergency airway procedures.

Candidates must be NBRC certified or registry-eligible, hold a NJ state license, and have EPIC EMR experience. Preferred experience in adult critical care; two to three years is ideal.

Qualifications

• Graduate of NBRC and eligible/registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Ability to follow directions accurately, organize and work with the medical team.
• Good communication skills to work with patients, visitors and medical staff.
• Computer skill EPIC EMR.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and adjust therapy with physicians and nurses to achieve best practice.
• Act as a clinical resource for nursing staff to ensure care within standards.
• Perform other duties to ensure timely department operations.
