Job summary

The Jersey City Medical Center is seeking a Pediatric/Adult Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care across the hospital. You will maintain and monitor ventilation, assist with emergency airway management, and perform arterial blood gas sampling and analysis to support optimal patient care.

Qualified candidates hold NBRC credentials, a NJ license, BLS, and have 2–3 years of adult critical care experience preferred. Hourly pay reflects New Jersey wages and experience.

Qualifications

• Required NBRC program graduate with appropriate credentials.
• Active NJ license to practice Respiratory Therapy is required.
• BLS certification and good communication within medical teams.
• 2–3 years of adult critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and provide respiratory care across hospital units.
• Maintain and monitor mechanical ventilation and manage emergencies.
• Perform arterial/capillary blood gas sampling and analysis.
