Advanced Correctional Healthcare is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse at Grand Traverse County Correctional Facility in Traverse City, MI. You will deliver timely nursing care, administer medications, document care, and coordinate with practitioners to ensure inmate health services.

This on-site role requires an active RN license, BLS, and strong patient documentation. You may cover multiple shifts as needed, and must maintain HIPAA compliance and infection control practices.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in the state of service.
• BLS certification; hands-on training.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Knowledge of the RN scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Timely and accurately assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to patients
• Contact practitioner to obtain orders
• Administer prescribed medication, treatments and other tasks as ordered by the practitioner
• Provide emergency first aid care, when appropriate
• Check and record vital signs, peak flows, glucose checks, weight and other tests
• Triage intake screenings for necessity and priority
• Record care information concisely and accurately
• Collaborate with multiple medical services for diagnosis and treatment
• Maintain aseptic techniques and infection control precautions
• Maintain HIPAA practices and patient confidentiality
