Job summary

NaphCare is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the night shift in Sarasota, Florida, to provide care for individuals in the Sarasota County Jail. You will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals in a controlled environment, performing assessments, administering medications, and managing chronic conditions.

New grads are encouraged to apply and receive training in correctional healthcare.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, unrestricted Florida RN license.
• Active BLS/CPR certification (AHA).
• Knowledge of nursing practice principles, safety standards, infectious disease management.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial health screenings and physical assessments of newly detained individuals.
• Monitor and document patient health including vital signs and histories.
• Provide direct patient care, triage, assess needs, develop care plans, coordinate services.
