Job summary

KeHE Distributors is hiring a System Maintenance Mechanic for our high-volume distribution center in Illinois. You will perform maintenance and repair of conveyor equipment, ensuring reliability and cost efficiency.

The role requires experience with conveyors, electrical controls, and reading schematics. You will work with outside contractors and may supervise others in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years conveyor maintenance and repairs.
• 3+ years electrical controls experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Experience operating material handling equipment.
• Ability to work with outside contractors.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with a computer.

Responsibilities

• Maintain conveyor and related machinery in a timely, cost-effective manner.
• Repair machinery with minimal supervision to minimize downtime.
• Understand mechanical, electrical and control aspects of the conveyor system.
• Disassemble and repair parts using hand and power tools.
• Provide guidance to other maintenance staff; support team effort.
• Perform other related maintenance tasks as assigned.
