ProAmpac is seeking a skilled Machine Operator - Team Lead for the Converting department at our Rocky Mount, VA facility, working a nights shift. You will operate converting bag machinery and provide technical leadership and coaching to a team to meet production targets.

Ideal candidates will have HS/GED plus 3+ years of machine experience, with prior converting experience and leadership preferred. This role offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• HS/GED required; AS preferred.
• 3+ years' experience operating a machine or in a related field.
• Prior experience operating converting machines is preferred.
• Prior Leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Converting Bag Machine with technical expertise.
• Lead and coach a team of converting operators to meet production goals, coordinating or assisting with activities of team members as necessary.
• Monitors processes to address issues, minimize downtime, and maximize efficiency, seeks out opportunities to improve established manufacturing practices, and anticipates inefficiencies, bringing constructive solutions.
• Enforces quality control measures to meet specifications and customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions, collaborating with maintenance teams and any other applicable departments.
• Trains and provides mentorship to employees.
• Support an environment that aligns with ProAmpac's core values and safety protocols
• Communicates production status and performance trends to management.
