Job summary

Mativ is seeking a Conversion Operator to support our production lines. The role involves starting up, setting up, and running conversion machinery, ensuring correct materials and product specifications, and maintaining safety standards on a 12‑hour shift. Overtime may be required to meet production needs.

The operator will read schedules and BOMs, perform line adjustments, and label finished goods while complying with food safety regulations and packaging requirements.

Qualifications

• Read & understand English (US Customary) measuring system.
• Able to read ruler measurement to the nearest ¼.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand the production schedule and BOM.
• Set up and operate conversion line machinery.
• Select proper raw materials (box, labels, and netting) and ensure correct product specs.
• Cycle the machine with limited maintenance support and perform line adjustments.
• Test initial product and verify length, bag alignment, and packaging.
• Label products with lot numbers and product descriptions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations as applicable.
• Follow packaging instructions and ensure product is in spec per work orders.
