Job summary
Nestlé Purina North America in Eden, NC is seeking a Controls Technical Specialist I for night shift to troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance PLC and PC-based automation systems across production lines. You will work with maintenance to support line modifications and upgrades.
The role requires a High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years of PLC experience or an Associate degree with 1+ year of PLC/HMI exposure. The position offers a competitive pay range and comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of PLC software/hardware troubleshooting and/or PLC-based HMI systems in controls, automation, electrical, or industrial maintenance environments.
- Associate degree with 1+ year of applicable experience in PLC software/hardware troubleshooting and/or PLC-based HMI systems in controls, automation, electrical, or industrial maintenance environments.
Responsibilities
- Configure, program, and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controls (PLC)
- Perform preventive maintenance for controls and organize electrical/control parts inventory
- Provide programming and electrical support on plant capital projects
- Implement control systems software upgrade
- Provide instrumentation, PLC and HMI/SCADA software and hardware support to plant maintenance staff
- Assist with training of maintenance personnel
