Job summary

Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. is seeking a Safety Coordinator to implement and maintain safety programs across construction sites, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

This night shift position will be based in Wentzville, MO, with a requirement to stay in a hotel Monday through Friday or reside within driving distance. You will train site personnel, conduct audits, investigate incidents, and help develop policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
• Willing to work a night shift schedule.
• OSHA-30 certification preferred.
• Experience with traffic control/protection or work zones preferred.
• BCSP certification preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a safety role, construction experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of safety principles, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience developing and implementing safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of safety programs at construction sites to ensure compliance with regulations
• Provide training and guidance to site personnel on safety-related matters
• Assist in conducting safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Assist in the investigation of accidents and incidents and develop corrective action plans
• Assist in developing and maintaining safety policies and procedures
• Monitor industry trends and changes in regulations and adapt programs and policies as needed
• Other duties as assigned
