Job summary

dsm-firmenich in Lakeland, FL is hiring a Compounder for the 3rd shift. You will operate filling machinery, read formulas, and blend chemicals to produce flavor or fragrance products, using DeltaV and SAP systems.

Expect a physically demanding role with exposure to temperature variations and strict safety/quality standards. The role requires 1–3 years of packing/compounding experience, GMP/HACCP knowledge, forklift ability, and the capacity to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED preferred and prior experience handling chemicals.
• Minimum 1-3 years of packing and compounding experience and understanding of special formula instructions.
• Knowledge of GMPs and HACCP practices.
• Forklift experience and ability to be on your feet up to 90% of the day.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Operate drum filling machine, centrifuge, bulk transfers, DeltaV, pumps, filters and scales.
• Read blending instructions and blend chemicals precisely to create flavor/fragrance products.
• Operate department pumps, filters, scales and computer systems to blend chemicals accurately.
• Issue material and resolve SAP transfer order, inventory discrepancy, and material loss issues.
• Use computer systems to access formula data, material availability, and batch prints.
• Follow safety, quality and operational procedures for compounding and filling.
