Job summary

dsm‑firmenich in Lakeland, FL is seeking a Compounder for the 3rd shift (Sun–Thu, 11:00pm–7:30am; Fri morning). You will operate blending equipment, read instructions, and help produce flavor or fragrance products with precision.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, 1–3 years of packing/compounding experience, GMP/HACCP knowledge, forklift skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs in a dynamic production environment.

Qualifications

Job description

Job Title: Compounder – 3rd Shift

Location: Lakeland, FL

Working Hours: Sunday to Thursday, 11:00pm to 7:30am (Friday morning)

Key Responsibilities

• Operate drum filling machine, centrifuge, cross‑site bulk transfers, DeltaV, department pumps, filters and scales.
• Accurately read blending instructions and blend chemicals in a precise manner to create flavor or fragrance product.
• Operate department pumps, filters, scales and computer systems to properly blend chemicals in a precise manner to create flavor product.
• Issue material and resolve SAP related issues associated with transfer orders, inventory discrepancies and material losses.
• Utilize a computer to obtain detailed formula information and availability of raw materials, post batches, check inventory and print labels.
• Ensure understanding of all safety, quality and operational procedures to properly use tools, equipment, and electronic/computer systems in compounding and container filling.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly pay rate: $22.00 to $26.00.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED preferred and prior experience handling chemicals.
• 1–3 years of packing and compounding experience and understanding of special formula instructions.
• Knowledge of GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points).
• Forklift experience and ability to be on your feet up to 90% of the day.
• Ability to lift a 35‑lb product hose; frequently move, lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a facility with minimal temperature control, exposed to local temperature variations (hot and cold).
